Radon is a radioactive gas that is colorless & odorless. It comes from the decay in uranium that is found in nearly all rock and soil. High radon levels are the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer. The preferred method of testing for real estate transactions is the Continuous Radon Monitor (CRM). I am currently certified to perform radon testing (NEHA-NRPP #102702RT).
